Does anyone make new replacements or is there a good place that sells working refurbished originals? I've searched around, but haven't found anything.

No new replacements and as far as I know there is no one selling refurbished originals.  There are a few places that do refurbish them though so your best bet will likely be to find a used one and send it off.

there is a guy on Mopars who deals with that... I think names Jules something :P

He offers rebuilt services but I think ocasionally buy used ones around and then resell them already done, with uopgrades too.

Not cheap thought ( "Mopar" and "cheap" never shake hands ), but is an option

Ward's Classic Radio has what you need. They usually have some for sale on Ebay but I don't see any right now. Contact them and I'll wager they'll have some for sale.

To have them restore one for you only costs $115 incl return shipping so it might be cheaper to buy one used and send it to them. They make them look and work perfect.

And if you want to jazz it up beyond stock I'd recommend an MP3 upgrade by Ward's or that with an FM radio uprade by S&M Electric as detailed here: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,38199.0.html
