cell phone (text message) question

i dont know how many of you use this little feature, but i love it. anyways...does anyone else ever get messages with (duplicate) at the top? every so often i'll get 2 or 3 of the same text and they'll all say duplicate, but other times i'll only get one message but it'll still say (duplicate) . what causes this? does anyone know or is it a mystery of the cell phone world.

It either means that the message has been sent before and just copied..or you have a message already in your inbox with the same text.

im right there with ya on loving the texting.  Im 38 and discovered this about 6 months ago.  It's a great way to have a little banter back and forth with friends without really distracting you from work and such.  no awkward conversation enders. just stop responding. 

added bonus is that women will tell you some pretty freaky shit in text that you may not get to hear in person.

Really? Well, I'll have to get that for the wife.

whoa!!  I wouldnt be so quick to do that.  It can take on a life of it's own and next thing you know, a woman could be using her text freakiness on someone else.  it happens...

also, you use a lot of abbreviations when texting and it's hard to resist carryover into real life. I stop myself from substituting the #2 for the word to all the time. even when writing by hand on occasion.  4 instead of for.  B instead of be.  K instead of OK.  there's probably a manual out there, sort of a text/longhand translator.

I sent about 30 text messages a day... It's a real addiction (unlimited text messages for € 9,95 p/m) I don't use abbreviations though.
