It looks like the guy I sold my Hemi Charger to has sold it to a collector.

Click here for the Hemi link http://www.canepa.com/inventory/collect/1969%20Dodge%20Charger/index.html

Not sure what they are asking but I wish I could afford it again.

Did you ever get to drop the hammer on it Jet?

I could never have sold it after that much work.    You did such an excellent job!

Thnak for the Kudos.  It was hard to let it go but there were a lot of zeros on that check.

I did get to keep it for a few months after it sold to shake it out for the new owner.  It was a lot of fun to drive and it left 500 feet of rubber on the steet in my industrial comples with little dashes between shifts.

I got a new project rolling now with a track pack 69 GTX.  It is on the website also. http://www.69hemi.com/ Just click on the red GTX to see what is up with this next one

Jet, brings a tear to my eye when I see that car.  You did an amazing job on the resto & the new owner(s) should be lucky to own it.

I wish I could have saw the car after you completed it. When I stopped in to buy the quarter panel from you both your car and mine were tore down to the bare shell. I have to admit I thought we were both a little nuts.

The Charger's definitely going to have a pampered life from here on out, it seems. Definitely a beautiful job done on that baby.
Looks like the GTX will be just as sweet when you're done with it. That's cool that your daughter helped you a bit with the dirty stuff. :)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Three things you don't talk about son, politics, religion and what you sold something for.

Oh, ok, they are asking 200,000 i was only wondering. great looking car!

69hemi - your car and your website is definitely an inspiration for my restoration of my '69 HEMI charger - hopefully the level of detail of my restoration is near that of yours once complete... I know you sold the car when the Mopar market was a little stronger, and kudos to you for that...  but, I'm real curious what they sold the car for now and how close to that $200M number they got... (not that I'm ever going to consider selling my car)...

Again - thanks for your contribution to those restoring HEMI chargers!

I refer to your website pretty often when I'm working on my car as well. I wish there were more step by step posts out there. Thanks for the help   :notworthy:

:o  Holy Cow Jet, you have been busy!  I havent been to your site in awhile to re-read the Hemi resto section for the 10th time and now you are balls deep into the GTX already..  When i stopped in to see the Hemi that must have been 4 years ago now and it was right before going to paint.

I'll be following the GTX resto now, hey, can i come help and learn?  Do your daughters baby sit?   :scratchchin:

And i found one of those 3 crown castle nuts in my box of parts the other day and i remember you having to make your own and i thought i should send it to you.

Hi Paul

Actually the website is way behind as the GTX is about ready to come home from the paint shop.  I just picked up the motor and we put a stroker kit and 10.75-1 pistons in it along with a big Comp Cams set so it should be in the 600-640 HP range.  The cool thing is we matches all the ports, polished & relieved the heads and hogged out the exhaust manifolds so it Will looks pretty stock except for the 800 CFM Eldebrock carb.

My girls do babysit so you are more than welcome and you can hold onto your nuts.

I thought your car was your kids college fund as well? I know things change, but I thought that your future intentions included putting up for sale at BJ after completion some day?

Jet, I commend you.  Not many folks, (including the high dollar resto shops) pay attention to detail like you do.  Your consideration to minute things on even the tear down of the Gettxx is nothing short of amazing.  Hats off to folks like you & Kori Alexander.  :2thumbs:
