I am thinking of buying a 383 that has had all the machinig done and the crank, pistons, and cam have been installed. The cam in it is 272 duration with .488 intake/.491 exhaust. The block is bored .030 over. I am giving up my 440 with the General, so I am looking to make this almost comparable. I am making it a 4-speed. The car has PB, but I can put in a vacuum resevoir if neccesary. Any suggestions or will this cam do the trick.

Big Lebowski

My buddy had to have power brakes so he put a vacumn assist pump on his .484 cammed 383. The pump works good but it makes a farting sound.  :D
