A local guy is selling a 1978 318 from a Dodge truck. 100$ :o

Will any mods be needed to make it drop in my 74 Charger?

my Charger is a 318 auto(727) and the truck is also an auto(unknown 904/727)

if it fits, i bet this puppy will have some torque, but will the 78 emissions stuff be a bitch? or can i "fix" it :D

i have no concern for Horsepower, only torque. the car sees some highway and lots of local stuff, sadly i don't know of a drag strip in the area. just lots of ricers to kill :.  :D
The local cops wont let you speed, but they don't care how fast you accelerate. :icon_smile_wink:

Your 74 "car" 318 probably has more hp and torque than that 78 "truck" 318.

Use the oil pan and motor mounts off of your car 318 since the pickup ones are different.
