Dumb question.....I have cleaner for each but not sure which parts are which type.

I have a '68 so I am not so sure about the tail or grill moulding on a '70, but, I can tell you for sure that all of the window trim is all Stainless Steel.  I don't think the '70 grille has any trim on it b/c of the wraparound bumper, but on the '68 it was aluminum.  The tail on the '68 is stainless also, so maybe the '70 is also, not sure.

Only a matter of time before someone with a '70 kicks in here to set the record straight.

Good luck.

The top trim that runs along the top of the trunk on the rear is stainless, but all the other trim/moulding on the rear is pot metal.

Yes, very true.  I should have been more specific.  Thanks for clarifying.

Put a magnet on them.

:ahum: Magnets don't stick to stainless or aluminum.

But hopefully someday someone will invent stainless, aluminum, wood and glass magnets because I think they'd be real handy. :nana:

On the vinyl top moulding, the check pieces are pot metal also, but the spears are stainless.
