Sherri-  Thanks for the information, I am trying to keep track of any of the 1968 318, 3-speeds that I find.  Have you got your 69 registered with TDC yet?  Just curious what Wayne says about that one.  I hope you can get this /6 Charger for your collection.....

All the cars are registered as have added them this one since at least the early 90's if not before.

I just need a 6 cyl to add in

Chad Looked at your location there is or used to be a 68 6cyl. car up there but I think it was an Automatic.

I haven't run across it, but I did have a guy try to sell me a 1969 /6, auto that was over in Ill last year.  He was a bit nutty as he called me up out of the blue acting like he was a good friend wanting me to buy his car, then started talking about his side porno business  :eek2:, so I brushed him off.  Even after I explained to him a few times that I could not afford to buy it, he was pestering me about when I would come by to pick it up and give him money for it. :rotz:  Wander if that is the one you are thinking of.......

"69Charger440", If you buy the car, put the /6 back in it. I think that would be cool, and you won't be sorry since gas prices are thru the roof. My buddy's /6 '68 gets decent mileage.

:o Wow a 1969 charger with a slant! thats awesome!! I've always wanted a second or third gen charger with a slant 6.  Why?? To be different. Id walk past about any of the clone cars or what have you to see one of these. I race a slant 6 duster as well and it moves pretty well. I just hate that when people get these slant chargers that 9 of 10 times they pull the slant out and stuff a big block in there. Even though they arent to fast people like me can really appreciate them. Who ever buys this please keep us informed. Id say if it's in decent fixer condition $3500 is a fair price indeed  :2thumbs:

I seen an oddity 2 years ago at a mopar show. Can anyone tell me how many of these were built?? 1973 charger with a slant 6 and 3 speed on the column. Seller wanted $3500 and it was SOLID as can be!!

I sometimes think about putting a 225 into my charger. I have some hooker headers, vintage weiand intake, cam, and someone other goodies  :D

Would you have to have a slant six specific k frame to do this though?? My car had a 318 in it originally....a slant k frame like the car would be a real pain to find...

I will have to do some checking around as I have been here for seven years and have not run across it at any shows or told about it.  I missed the last Father's day show as I had to go back to Kansas for a working vacation.......

I have the production numbers for that somewhere in one of my musclecar books, but I can't remember which one (I have over a hundred or so in my minilibrary).  If I run across it, I will PM you what I find.  If I remember right, it was under a hundred, as they kept making fewer and fewer after 1970.........

Hey I am here, thanks Stuart for the email heads up on this and to Paul too for referring this to me also.

Yes I am looking for a 69 6 cyl. and it would stay that way oddly I have a motor that could go in it not from the 60's but 70's..

Would appreciate a chance to get a chance at this.  It would go cool with my 318 3spd car with AC

Sherri

Please PM with info if I can get a chance on this....the car would be restored not  modified if I got it.
no problem   hope you get a chance at it     thanks

Well guys, that thing was a piece of junk. Not even worth taking pictures. Everything was missing except the 69 taillights!! I mean everything!! It had 68 fenders full of bondo. 70 Doors full of bondo. One 69 quarter panel. And the other one was cut off about 4 inches from the bottom! No grill, it had a v8 K member! I dont think the Vin match the car eithe. Fender tag was ripped off. The guy ws going to give it to me. I told he it was a waste of time for me to bring my trailer out there! It is to bad someone did that to that charger, it makes me really mad! Well i will keep looking for more mopars!!

I would have taken it for free.
Same here...if nothing else, you could make one of these out of it. :icon_smile_big:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Chad L. Magee

It was worth getting if it was free, even if just to get the scrap value price for them later on.  The V8 K-frame, taillights are worth at least something to someone and you don't see many 1969 Charger bodys free anymore.  Heck, I passed on two 1969 Charger shells that had been 1993 flood cars that had rust though in the roofs for $300, but very quickly someone else bought them.  In hindsight, I should have bought them for a present for my nephews to work on.......

I am not suprised on the V8 K-member as I figured it had been converted at one time or another......

Perhaps you should post the contact info or PM it to someone that is interested in the car to salvage what ever small thing might be useful, since you have no room and no interest any longer.

About the e-bay ad:   A/C on a slant 6?  Was that possible?

You could get it in 1970 (extremely rare, less than 10% of production /6 Chargers, both base and 500s), but I don't know about the previous year.  I would figure that it would be an avaliable option for that engine.....
