This web showed up over just a three day period. I've never seen anything this size. At its maximum it's six feet by eight feet and one foot deep. :eek2:

Any arachnologists out there that can id the spider that did this monument of a web?

Is this near where you live? I wouldn't go in there without a shotgun. Looks like you've got yourself a serious Spiderman there.

It's along my driveway, about 50 feet from the front door.

Shotgun is a definite possibility.

I think it might be a red toothed ass spider.  You had better also check all your toilets.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Are you sure it isn't just spun sugar?  :icon_smile_big:

Could be bagworms, we get them in the trees around here and they look like that.

Assuming its not bagworms and is a spider..thats awesome!

Rather have a bunch of spiders than a bunch of flies

I hate spiders with a passion, now snakes on the other hand don't both me a bit or any other creature for that matter.
