i have access to a 76 cop car fury I know this car has the heavy duty suspension package. What I don't know is what will bolt under my 68 RR. Can I use sway bars front and rear how about front disc brakes and master cy how about the 9 1/4 3.91 sure grip

I don't think the front ends are at all similar. As far as I know the only '76 Fury parts that will work are the caliper brackets if you're upgrading to the bigger rotors. Well, that and the rotors of course.

A 68 Road Runner would already have the heavier "Hemi" suspension as stock.

Sell the '76 Fury cop-package car to a "Dukes" fan to make a Hazzard County squad car out of it.

As far as I know the only difference up front is bigger torsion bars. And they're not that much bigger.

The only thing that will work from the brakes are the caliper adapters and the rotors and most likely the rotors are out of spec if they have many miles on them. You can get aftermarket sway bars all over the place.

The torsion bars won't work on your RR, and I believe that the front sway bar is different too.  It's a late B with isolated K frame.  73-74 Charger uses the same set-up.
Make sure that the brakes are the big 11 3/4".  They changed in late '76.  You can use the spindle and all front brake parts to convert.  You need to get 73 + A body upper control arms.  That Fury arm is too long for your car.

That 9 1/4 is wider than your 8 3/4 and you'd have to move the spring mounts to fit in your car.

I think that's it...

I don't know about using those brake parts other than the adapters and rotors...

"Do not succumb to the temptation to use "lookalike" knuckles from later Mopars, such as 73-up B/R-bodies, F/J/M bodies, etc. These parts, while visually very similar, are taller, altering suspension geometry (camber change, bump steer, etc.), and possibly forcing the ball joints beyond their designed range, a/k/a "over angling."

But, as usual, there will always be some debate about this warning. IMO you're better off using the mid 70s A- or E-body spindles as mentioned in the article linked above.

Ooops, my bad.  It was late last night when I replied. :)

I meant to say that the spindles are required, not the upper control arms from an A body...

Thanks Bull.
