Anyone watch Monster Jam, I watched for the 1st time in ages and I couldn't believe how fast the trucks are nowadays, what do you think they would do in a quarter mile?

Here is some classic footage.  Plus my favorite monster truck/van. Rolling thunder in a dodge van.

Ya, their pretty fast. But then again, they dont weight nothing like they did years ago. I lost intrest when they started doing all the in door stuff. I like it out side where they can get some speed and real air hang time.

You guys need to look at this site here;  http://www.midwestmonsters.com/vintage.htm  All vintage photos. Some really cool stuff there  :yesnod:

Just 6T9 CHGR

I went to see one live for the first time in about 10 years....this time there was NO DIRT!  It really changed the whole premise of the show.....You had to see the oil slick on the concrete when one of the trucks blew the front differential!

So guys you want to guess the quarter mile time? I may be way off but considering they are 1500hp i'll go for 9 seconds?

TruckDriver

Some have around 2,200hp now. But a lot of that is used just to get the wheels turning. I'd say 13.5 which is still impressive for their size.
