I'm not sure why my car is doing this, maybe someone can help me out. I've noticed that durng normal driving conditions when I let off the accelerator the idel doesn't drop all the way down to 700 rpms. It get hung at say 900 or so and I have to lift the pedal or jab the pedal for it to drop down. It's like the throttle gets stuck or the cable, not sure. All i know is it's still kinda under power and moving forward when i apply brakes and it's gonna wear them out real soon. Help please. :popcrn:

how old is the carb? Has the car sat for a long chunk of time? has the carb been cleaned to make sure you dont have any gunk in the bowls?

it could be your kick down linkage maybe?

Check the kick down, also is the cable nice and smooth not binding up anywhere? How about the return springs?
