new best for the roadrunner

i ran a new best for my roadruner yesturday. i ran a 7.33 @93.95 mph,  that should be about a 11.48 1/4 mile pass. im pretty jacked.  the 452 just loved the e heads and holley hp main body.  hmmm  i wonder what a 1 inch super sucker will do....    my goal was to put the roadrunner right on the bar rule. i just put it right under the bar rule .

Way to go Mike....that's a very nice improvement from the last time out !   Looks like the motor really woke up with those heads and the new mainbody. You must be stoked....i know i would be ! Pretty impressive for such a mild combo....nice work.

thanks guys,  for a split second i looked at that dart out front and thought it would be cool to have a nice light car so i could go a little faster, then i decided i like it just the way it is!

ron thanks, im pretty honest when people ask. i always tell the truth" well no its not really a 383, its been bored .030 so its acually a 389"   j/k.   

   thread marshal, i had planed to do the heads, then run it and then do the carb. but when  all the parts showed up i couldnt help myself. i had planed on waiting until spring to run the car and i knew i wouldnt wait to do the carb all winter, so it went on first. then my wife talked me into taking it to the last race of the year becasue she thought the suspence would be tough on me.   ive got a GREAT wife

Congrats.  You mention watching a Dart, just how much does your car weigh anyhow?

over 3750 with me in it, hopefully it will weight right at 3750 agin with me in it by spring.......   and the car dosnt need to loose the weight

whats your engine build

silver rt,   it is a 452 inch motor (.040 over 400 with 440 crank) kb pistons with the quench dome machined off 10.47-1 compresion, comp cams xe282s solid lifter cam, crane iron 1.5 rockers, crane moly pushtubes, smith brothers rocker adjusters, sealed power moly rings, ootb e-heads, billet timing gear set, tm-6 intake, 750 dp hollet with the new holley hp mainbody ugrade ( pretty much just like the proform kit) and for now headman 1.75 primary tube headers.     i will likly upgrade to a 1 7/8 inch hooker headers over the winter and next spring i might try a super sucker 1 inch carb spacer.

what gear you runnin? stall? whats your 60ft times?   that is an awesome number, congrats!

torque converter is a t/a 10 inch medium converter stalls to about 3800.  the gears are 4.57, it will most likly be getting a set of 4.30s or 4.10 in the distant future. tires are 29 inch tall.the 4.57s and 29 inch tiresare  same basic tire gear combo as a 26 inch tire with 4.10s.   the best 60 is a 1.61  im hoping to have it in the high 1.50s next spring.
