I've watched that show several times and all I can see is a lot of sandbaggin and BS going on.

The negotiating part is lame.

They should run them under the same rules as bracket racing.

Break your time loose your ride.

Otherwise run what you brung and cry about loosing later.

It is real and I agree no bitching just run em and loose em.They wanted to run so shut up or put up.Not letting anyone watch is b.s. also.I think they should charge and give it to the winner as well.

i know i just cant think of anything better than spending  thousands of dollars on a car , then losing it because you dont win a race.........these dipshits obviously have way too much time and money

You could make the same argument for gambling or sports betting.

I guess the main difference would be the amount of personal work you had invested in the car.

I also think it is staged and pretty lame! But a good idea for a show. They need to get a new host and restructure the show!

Yes, It is definetly staged. There was a discussion on here once before (maybe it was another site-Moparts??) about the guy that owned the car was on the show. I think he owned a 66-67 Chevy 2 Nova that was running up against a 68 Camaro. He lost on the show but took his car home after the camera's were turned off. There were several other local guys that new the car & reconized the track they were at & agreed the (losing) owner of the Nova still races it at the very same track local track.

 I have seen a couple of the shows where the loser looks truly heartbroken. I don't think they were acting that kind of disappointment
