maybe a stupid question.
I'm looking to get rear discs for my 68, and my friend told me, that would move the wheel 1/2 inch out.
is this  true?

I've never heard that before, and I don't see how it could happen. The wheels bolt to the face of the axles don't they? How would disc brakes change that?

the rotor gets sandwiched between the axle flange and the wheel...   adding a small offset - the factory drum thickness - thickness of rotor = offset increase   I did them on mine but did not see a noticeable difference...    i think it was like 1/4" or something
