My neighbour has decided to sell one of his projects and asked me to help get it out of his basement so he could get it ready. The car has been in the basement for about 5 years and even there was still snow on the ground he wanted to move it up to the his "shop" to do some tidying up. He has done all the work on this car and when he first brought it home it was literally in pieces on a boat trailer.

We also tookhis most recent project out for the first time. we brought this up from Pittsburgh two years ago and it was another basket case. It now has a 2006 Chev cab1/2 4x4 running gear. all 2006 options were retained. Check out the custom dash that was fabricated from a glove box door.

He doesn't do Mopars often but this 56 has a 4x4 Dakota RT drive train.

The before pic looks like a 70-71 and the finished one looks like 67 or 68. The earlier ones had the metal grill bar. I use to mess with this era of truck moons ago and the fenders didn't interchange....you would have to change the whole clip. I don't think they made the blazer till 69. Either way he did a nice transformation.

I wondered when someone would see that, its a 69 front clip and original was a 72 (see side marker lights on rear quarters). The chrome bowtie was left off the front grill for a cleaner look. The 2006 chassis had to be shortened 18" out of the centre.
