Was this photo taken at the Mopar Nationals about 3 years ago? Just curious. Looks like the same one that I saw at that show.

..... the red one in Montana,.....

Wanted to buy the red one in Montana.  Was in Montana, but last I knew it was bought by a guy in Northern Wyoming, who I tried to buy it from.  Problem is with the gas prices, and distance to northen Wyoming it would be a 3 day round trip, and a $600.00 gas bill, motels, etc.
1971 Charger R/T, 440 H.P., Auto, A/C Daily Driven (till gas went nuts).  NOW IN CARS FOR SALE SECTION: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,48709.0.html
1969 Charger 318/Auto (latest addtion): http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,31948.0.html
*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"
*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

Manfred318

Sweet trucks :drool5: I would love to find one of those. :yesnod: There used to be a guy around here with one, but last I heard he sold it. I wish I would have known at the time :brickwall:

DUDE,

Your killing me here. I'm really liking that truck. Hmmmm, so how would it do pulling a trailer with a RED 500 on it.  :scratchchin: Have a spare 383 and tranny here in the shed to add some get up and go to the truck instead of the 318.  :scratchchin:

Man, lookie how clean that thing is! The resto on that baby shouldn't be tough at all.
It's got a un-butchered dash, too. :2thumbs:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Magnumcharger

Again, this thread rears it's ugly head!

But since I have a good reason....I'll continue!
I'm out here in Alberta again, this time for a month. I'm filling in for a technician that is away on a course. This fits my plans perfectly, as I got to drag my truck and trailer out here and finally pick up the Barracuda I bought last year.
After doing that, I have a bit of time to kill in the evenings and on the weekends.
Long story short - in the last week, I've found TWO Dude pickups!

#1 Is a bright green 1971, 225 Slant six with 3 on the tree. It's in a junkyard, but definately not junk! Infinitely restorable in my humble opinion!

#2 Is a  Black 1970 Dude truck, with a blue interior, 383 V8, automatic transmission with sure-grip 3:23 gears.

I found this one this afternoon!

Goes to show these trucks were avaliable with pretty well every manner of drivetrain!

Now, what to do with this knowledge! Choices, choices!

Keep in mind, production of these trucks were estimated at less than 2000 in total.

One found here in Seminole FL. alive and in remarkable well condition. I keep seeing it but never have my camera or time to stop! Faded but still strong paint red one, no dents or rust as far as I can tell from passing by. White stripe is still in good shape and must run good as it's seen around here and there.   :yesnod:

I love these trucks! I bought a '69 Adventurer last year that runs like a top (318) for my kid to fix up one day. Didn't realize how rare they were until I went on Sweptline.com and had guys from all over North America trying to buy it off me (good $500 investment me thinks). Once the 68 Charger is done we'll start on it.

Not a Dude, sorry about the 'jack...

The interior matches my '68 Charger, though it isn't likely I'll have the Charger on a trailer. I can't get enough of driving it.

Looks like they were all 2 wheel drive? did they make a 4x4? Cool truck.

b5blue

Yup, not Dude's but 4X4 and also 4 door long and short beds, fender and swept side with or without 4X4, we had them in the USAF. Being in "communications" we had a very cool radio box bed one with 4X4 and a big winch and bumper rig out front that was killer.  :2thumbs: Check GSA Auctions they still come up for sale now and then. (all kinds)
