Anyone familiar with the going rates on Torino's? I found one local to me. . . it's a 1970, no engine or trans, and they want $800 for it. Think I can clean it up and get more?

If it is a Torino GT 429 CJ car it would be worth it. But by looking at it I will guess it is a 351 car.

Torinos are not big money cars.

My Dad had a Torino GT 429 CJ with a 4spd when I was a little turd back in the early 80's. Man I loved that car.

Torino guys say that about Satellite parts cars.

I'd say it's worth it.   Looks like lots of good parts and trim.   How rusty?

5th digit of the VIN will tell what engine it had.

those were sharp cars. should be worth what they're asking.

Not worth as much as the 68 - 69

Sounds like it's at least worth looking into then. I'll go and get some pictures and the VIn.

 Could be a 302 motor.
Looks like bench seat column shift.
Added hood scoop [?]
Front bumper looks tweaked in relation to grille.
Than again at less than a grand , maybe could profit as a flip.  Easier to sell running cars though.

Yeah.....and 68-9's aren't worth anything either....
There are a few on craigslist in my area for under $1500.....and they are complete GT cars with 4 speeds.....also a couple of Cyclones for same kinda $$$....
Although I suspect the values for these big cars will be going up, as the more desirable cars are getting too expensive for the average joe..

Please post any complete 68-71 Torino GT or Cyclone 4-speed cars under $1500.     I would like to buy them !

Again, please find me a nice driver fastback Torino in clean condition for $2000.

They are not huge dollar cars, but to suggest that they cost less than a used Neon doesn't make sense to me.    I have a '69 Cyclone in the garage.

I just sold this one on ebay for 6700. 289 2bbl, auto, one owner 71k miles. Paid 500 for it. :icon_smile_big:

A friend in high school had a 70 SCJ with the shaker and 4 speed. The original 429 was long gone but had a 460 in it's place. Very fast car. I think that an original SCJ torino is fairly valueable.

Check out the 1970 Ford I used to own. Mine was a Galaxie 500 though.  I bought this car for $300 from a buddy who drove it while we were in high school.  It was one hell of a ghetto cruiser...   :smilielol:

Goes to show what are Mopars are worth.  Imagen if that was a 70 Charger or Challenger sitting there?
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I really dig those Torinos. I'm guessing because they were another classic body design that was used by the 60's NASCAR crowd.

That was an estate car you stumbled into, correct?    Looks like it cleaned up great from the earlier garage shots.

You'd probably take about ten more of those kinds of deals with that profit potential, LOL.    But thats how you finanace other things.

Looks like a few have sold (there was a '70 GT, smallblock, 4 spd car @ $2000 and a 4 speed '69 Cyclone).....but here are a couple of others...
