Hey gang........
I was curious, I think my CD/RW drive on my computer has bit the dust.. I have tried to delete and reinstall the driver for it, but to no avail, the sucker still won't work......... Sooooooooo, if I get another drive, are they usually plug-n-play? I mean, do they usually come with the appropriate software for the unit? I'm somewhat computer savvy, so I'm comfortable with tearing into the box to replace the drive........

Cheers,
Troy

Nothing to em! The come with software, but if you have a recent version of windows, it may recognize it. jut remember to kill it and UNPLUG it.

They just plug in and have two screws on the sides. The plug will go in only one way i believe.

There are jumpers on the back of the drive.  They set the drive as a master, slave or cable select.  Set your new drive to the same type as your old one.
