What are you building?

A Street Machine... Still making a lot of design decisions at this time. This car will be driven on the street 99.9 % of the time, so I have no interest in a tooth rattling track engine that idles like a 4th of July Fireworks Display... or an engine that runs like a pig in the low rpm scale. I'm also looking for the best everyday fuel economy possible while maintaining good performance. Of course, I am also looking to produce real power in an rpm range suitable for the street, with big torque numbers starting at point one. Right now we're looking at a Kitten Cammed 440 Stroker 6-Pack with a well tuned, but fairly quiet exhaust system.... but as I said, everything is still under consideration at this time. These are my current numbers...

The graph was produced using Engine Analyzer Professional...

:o  :o Those look like some really good numbers.

Thanks... I think their OK for a sleeper

When I get the new heads, I'll do a quick "CC" check and make my final decisions concerning the rotating assembly. I'll be attempting to keep my compression ratio at about 10.1 +/-
Still looking at a lot of options at this time... lets face it, with a street car there is a lot of give & take that has to be considered. I could easily push the Torque & HP numbers up another 100 points each if I wanted to, but it wouldn't run like I want it to... not to mention the fact that the exhaust system alone would be a dead giveaway. I prefer to keep a lower profile... I'm shooting for that "Surprise in a Box" scenario... and what better box than a Big Red 1967 Charger.
