how long can you leave a engine on the garage floor before moisture starts rusting the bores etc the 440 engine was simply taken out
and put in the corner while im restoring the body.i thought taking out the spark plugs and squirting some oil down each
cylinder just to coat the bores then covering the whole thing with a drop cloth, any ideas?

I stripped down the two I have and put them in corrosion bags from eastwood.  The bags are around 10.00 and are suppose to last for quite a while.

ive been storing mine for about 6 months.  Ive got it ina larger contractor trash bag and once a week i spray everything done with wd 40 and then wipe the bores clean and respray.
