I finally was able to get the car out since the rebuild.
48 degree's here so I took off early for lunch and fired it up.
All I can say is DAMN! what a difference!
I know its no big block but it revs like a jack rabbit on crack (that doesn't really make any sense) and it has a ton of torque now.
I still need to fine tune everything but so far this was the best 2grand I ever spent.
Thanks to everyone on the board who gave me advice and especially 'firefighter" for answering all my stupid questions.
:2thumbs:

Here's a short video, this is just going fairly easy on the pedal only 3200 rpm's...

Just out of curiosity, what exactly did you do?  No pics????

oh yeah I forgot to say, I stroked the 318 to a 390 and added a TF2 shift kit to the 904.

How much money did you put into the 318? I also have 318 68 charger, and i would like it to have the power of a 383. What kind of work have you done? And by the way, your charger looks kick a$$. :2thumbs:
life's a garden, dig it.

It has 3:55 rear gears.
I have just under $2000 into it, that includes machining, new pistons, rods, crank, bearings, rings, gaskets. I did all the assembly so there was no cost for that.
I still could go further with new heads (I'm using stock heavily ported heads) bigger carb and torque convertor but I'm on a budget.

Who cares if it's not a big block! It looks sweet and hauls @ss! With todays hop up parts you can make these small block mopars walk the dog! My 367 small block will hopefully be every bit as sick as your 390. I love small block mopars. I know what to do to them  ;D
Your motor looks almost identical to mine! How big of a cam you got?
"Remember when I said this car was death proof? Well that wasnt' a lie-this car is 100%death proof- only to get the benefit of it honey you really need to be sitting in my seat"...
