Our 68 Obsession

I haul cars and frequently pick up at the Bramalea plant. Anyway, I was in last night picking up a load of charger police units when I looked at the load next to mine and there sat 7 Challangers. All were SRTs, but 4 of them had 6.1 hemi badges on the hood and the other 3 just said hemi so maybe they were the 5.7 engine. They were covered in 2 feet of snow from the bad storm that came through on the weekend, but still got a good look. They were all 6-speed manuals. I was never a big fan of the new Chargers style, but I love the look of these beasts. I'd snap you all a picture but no cameras allowed in the plant. If I get a load on my truck then I'll post a picture.

I think 2008's are all 5 speed manu-matics also.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

The "2nd gen" 5.7 is due for '09, Challengers will get them then.

Sorry its not worth my job to take a picture in the plant grounds. I looked at 4 more last night,2 srts with 6-speed manuals, and to white R/Ts with 6- speeds and the 5.7. Looked just like the vanishing point car. These are "real" stick shifts, 3 pedals on the floor and not like the charger, 300 & magnum auto shift.

Guess they're rushing to build up stock of 2009s before the two week 4th of July holiday.

2008 Challengers are all SRT8s and have automatics.
