I'm gonna miss watching him play.

I work with a guy who grew up in Wisconsin. He was bummed. He also said he was surprised. :eyes: How could you be surprised that a 39 year old man retired from football? Guess he expected him to play forever. :shruggy:

He will go down as one of the greatest. Had to watch him decimate our Vikings a few times, so I won't be missing that. :icon_smile_big:

Pocketthunder should be chiming in soon. Hope you don't ruin your keyboard with all your tears. :nana:

I'm not sure how anyone would be shocked that he finally decided to hang up his hat. I mean he has been thinking of retiring for the last 3-4 years. Its not like it was an all of the sudden decision in the prime of his career or anything. Granted they had a good team last year, but there was also a lot going their way last season as well.

I think the biggest factor was while this season was a nice surprise it also ended in a disappointing way. Overall, last season was a high note in his career and as good a time as any to bow out. The only reason to return would be a Super Bowl "win" and that is obviously a tough goal.

I am a big fan of Favre's and alway's tuned in whenever he was playing on TV, Never got to see him live as the Pac didn't play Miami very often. Still, he is truly a shoe in for a first round HALL of FAME pick. The best QB since Elway and Marino. Best of luck to the guy.... :2thumbs:
BTW, who's left that can be considered in his class?...P. Manning and T Brady are about the only ones that comes to mind.

Time to jump on the "a-rodge" bandwagon!   :icon_smile_big:   :icon_smile_big:   :icon_smile_big:

What are you going to do with that old # 4 jersey?  Here is an idea.

Ya know, i never had a #4 Jersey, or any Packers jersey.  I wonder how long it will be before you dont see a #4 Jersey at the game anymore.  10 years?  20 years?  :shruggy:

Didnt Bret have another daughter from his college girlfriend?  I'll go look it up.  :scratchchin:

EDIT: Deanna is the baby moma of both his kids.

I don't know what the big deal is. He was only in one movie and he wasn't that good in it. It's not like Harrison Ford or Denzel Washington or Tom Hanks is retiring, now that would be big news. :nana:

Hey, I liked what I saw of Aaron Rogers last season. In time, I think he can pull it off too. I took the Pak to 8 Super Bowls in Madden '07 with him :nana: :D

I'm not ready for another 30 years of darkness...
God must love stupid people....he made a sh**load of 'em....

Ah it wasn't quite 30 years of Darkness for the Packers. Granted they had what 2 trips to the playoffs in the 16 season before Brett Favre joined your team, but they weren't all at the bottom of the barrell.
