Well guys, it's been one hell of a winter so far.....snow, snow and more snow !!!!  :P

It seems like all i'm doing is shovelling this white crap. We had a huge dump last night and people were warned to stay off the roads but of course some didn't listen. Lots of abondoned cars in the middle of the road of all places....real freakin mess. Of course i was working and driving the "big steel" trying to manouver a 35,000 lb rig like i was on a slalom course. Lots of fun....Not !  :brickwall:

This morning i tried to get down my street but the snow was 2 feet deep so i ended parking it at the mall a half mile away and hiking home through the snow. I was up to my waist in snow but managed to dig my way in thru the front entrance....had a little bite to eat then went back out and started to shovel. My neighbour showed up with his snowblower and gave me a hand (thanks Roy  :2thumbs:) and i finally got finished around lunchtime.

The stuff is really starting to pile up ! So far total snowfall is almost 14 feet and we're closing in on the alltime record which i'm sure we'll blow right past in the next week or so.

Anyway, the first pic is my back deck....snow to the top of the door.  :-\  The next three are of the front of the house and if you look closely you can see my 3500 dually buried under all the white stuff.

Enjoy the pix and be thankful you don't live up here during the winter. I don't believe in Global warming anymore

I may be Canadian but I have had enough this winter. Stuff just keeps falling!! Our back yard was lost to snow quite awhile ago....even if I could get out the kids would be buried alive.

I can't throw the snow over the drifts bordering the driveway....running out of room.  :flame:

Bring on Spring please!!

Ron, I feel your pain.
This pic was from several years ago but we were doing this again this year. We were actually shoveling off the roofs on December 20, before winter had officially started.

Better you guys then me in Kansas! We havent had a snow like that here in 30+ years. Although this winter has been a mess every week with snow or ice we didnt get a big snow this year. I hope spring is on its way here! I hate the winter!

I have a pretty big shovel, but I had a lot of snow to move.

I feel your pain, Ron.

No, I feel my pain, but I imagine it's pretty much the same as you're feeling.

St. Catharines got 1cm less accumulation of snow than Ottawa according to this morning's news. The worst in our area. 51 cm that's right about 20 inches.

I kept the snow banks low by scooping and throwing in to the middle of the yard. Those funky, ergonomic snow shovels are great for that. You can hold it, loaded, like a lacrosse stick and do and overhand throw.

Man, I'm with ya. I'd be tired of all that white crap too!
We used to get that kind of snowfall at our last house sometimes...I don't live there any more for that reason. ;D

I never did. :icon_smile_tongue: That reminds me, I haven't heard a peep from Algore for a few months now. :smilielol:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I saw the damage a city plow did to a parked car once in Rochester, NY..  The snow banks along the edge of the roads were overloaded. The sidewalk plows could not make a pass to save their lives. The higher the snow gets the faster the plows drive to really curl the snow up and over what is already there.
So here comes the city plow down Bernice Street at about 40 miles per hour with a full load of salt in the bed and KA-BOOM.......  About 4 houses South of our house the plow truck blasts a K-car wagon.  The car was turned around in the snowbank about 6 feet up. No glass left in the car. Not much left to tell you it was "A CAR".  They brought a huge loader in to help out the wrecker driver. The loader basically scooped it out of the snow bank and dropped it on the street from about a foot up. That's when I saw the Chrysler emblem on the back..  Nothing left to fix on that pile of STUFF...

LOL   OMG > Man I should bring your snow blower back. Yikes!

Had some here too.  Got much more since this pic but not near as much as many of you guys

Chris G.

Geez, that is bad.  :o We have been lucky so far around here. Maybe 5" total all year (knock on wood).

I'd still take snow over an earthquake, hurricane, volcano, tornado, etc.  :yesnod:

Wow! I don't think my 4020 would do any good with that pile of snow. That's crazy.

WOW!!  I thought I had it bad here in Eastern Washington.  We've had 3 to 4 feet on the ground.  My driveway is about a half mile long and I plow it with an old M-37 power wagon.  It got to the point that there was no place else to put the snow and the driveway was down to one lane.  I had to go to the snowblower on the lawn tractor to get the snow up and over the berms.  Yea, please stop this global warming.  I've had enough!   Bob
