Well, we finally got around to putting the AMD fenders on our 1968 Charger today.  I estimate it took a little more than an hour to do each of them.  They bolted up pretty well.  The corners around the top of the door, cowling and hood where the back of the fenders meet lined up pretty well considering the body work we have done to the car.  It was tight bolting the driver's side fender up to the radiator support.  However, the passenger side fender pulled right up to the rad support without any problem.  We might need to get a new hood.  The fenders really expose the condition the hood is in - although it might match up better after we get it aligned.

Looks like a very good fit. I have a number of AMD metal parts ordered for my Charger and am very happy to see the condition and fit on your Charger.  Thanks for the thread.

What's the feedback on the quality of the sheetmetal itself?

How does it feel compared to the original panels?

That looks good. Are you going to need to strip the primer off of them?

That's EDP, just scuff and paint.

Paint with another primer sealer then top coat? Or just top coat? Just wondering if Dupont's Nason is compatible.

Yep....any sealer/primer will be compatible with the EDP coating.......best to use a primer tinted close to the top coat.
You could top coat directly over the EDP, but no replacement body panel is ever perfect, so a coat of surfacer and blocked sanded is best.

OldGuy

We scuffed them up a little and will be shooting a primer over them with the rest of the body.  It's been a little slow due to other work obligations.  However, I got everything taped off today and just waiting for my son to find some time to shoot the paint.

Joshua,

I sent you a PM regarding 68 fenders - let me know if you got it.
