Does anyone know where I can get the correct logo decal for a vin tag? I'd like to repaint my tag, it looks worn and nasty.
Thanks.

Performance Car Graphics will not sell the logo any more.  They no longer have the licensing agreement with Chrysler to sell the logo.

I've called in a favor due from a friend in the graphic design biz and he might be able to locate a company willing/able to recreate the Chrysler Corp. logo for the vin. The problem is the logo is so damn tiny very few company's can make something so small. Question, how many of you guys would be interested in a logo if I can get these made? It will be a one shot one time only deal. Let me know soon.

I'll take six if the price is fair....... Two if it isn't :icon_smile_big:

If it is a heat transfer rubbing that is slightly gray like performance car graphics used to make I'd take some. White vinyl decals aren't the same. Bill

Agreed, IF they are correct, and they aren't entirely out of sight on pricing, I'd take half a dozen. I don't forsee me restoring any more than that in what is left of my lifetime.

What price range are they shooting for?

charger50071

Still no answer on production, as for cost of each decal I believe in order to prevent any legal action I will not be charging for the decals. Shipping might be around $10.00-$15.00 :icon_smile_wink:

I believe that the "correctness factor" are the key words here =) and I'll still take what I said earlier if they are "Correct".

Gentelman,
I'm happy to see a positive intrest in vin tag restoration. My " guy " has been working with his production crew on this and has made a couple decals none to my satisfaction. The problem is getting the correct thickness on the lettering. How hard could it be? I guess its a real pain to make these in a decal, even the decals that were available were not exactly correct. Will keep everyone posted.

i have the correct black riviets if any one wants some for $25 i take paypal email me at waynehays@hotmail.com for details here are some pics

charger50071

Good news, I should have the finial product on Tuesday. I have not seen them yet but was told that they are very close to original. Let's all hope the're good enough to use. As far as the rivets, you can reuse used ones, go to a junk yard and cut the bottoms off with side cutters carefully saving as much rivet as possible. Then all you need is a new rivet shaft to insert in the old factory rivet. Test one or two first.
