What price?  For what car, and in what condition?

If you're talking about the musclecarfinders.com car, it might be a tad overpriced where it's at now - but mostly due to the fact that it has a repro nose on it.  That will be some pretty significant $$ to round up, IF a guy really wanted an original nosecone.  I wonder if the guys doing the resto work figured out (just like so many others) that it's a real pain to get the nosecone fit properly and get original-style functioning headlights.

Then again, my opinion + $0.45 will get you a cup of coffee...

you won't find a nice daytona for under $100k. period. not in this day and time. a project is all you will find in that price range,and those don't come along often, because they are worth so much restored

Join the ever growing group of people who are looking for a Daytona in that price range. They definately aren't growing on tree's for prices under $100K. If they were me and Troy both would have one by now.

If you can afford the real deal, even as a project car,  I see this car as a step backwards.   

More so, that car has no power steering or brakes.  It smells of a car that's been finished, but is unsorted from a driver standpoint.

That red clone has been for sale for several years - and I think a reference or two is buried somewhere in the forum and on the old D-C.com board as well.  No window plug, but it's probably a blast to drive.

Yes.   You can always trade up later on.   With a Bird, you are "in the game".

With a Bird your in the game of wing cars. And if all you want is a wing car, then it is defiantly easier to find a Superbird in that price range than it would be to find any Daytona. Other than total project cars you are highly unlikely to find any Daytona's for under $100K or even around that figure.

  I am super glad i bought mine four years ago for 50K, my parents thought i was drunk to pay that much for a old Dodge. I thought i will never have a Daytona but i do, things just worked out. I thought that after i bought it that people will be come up to me and asking if i want to sell it but hardly no one doz, not that i want to sell.     Jay.

Already know the answer to asking jay if he wants to sell his car to me. ITS A NO. Maybe one of these days though he will. Maybe if I do this  and throw a fit like a little 2 year old, maybe I'll get my way one of these days. I doubt it though.

At this point Jay, I'd take any Daytona I could afford. Oh and while I"m at it, when you decide to part with the Daytona, why not send the 500 along in a package deal with it. I do have room in the garage for both of them.

Oh and Jay, truth be told I wouldn't kick an AT Daytona out of bed any night. Yes I'd prefer a 4 speed Daytona, but then again I'd prefer a 4 speed 500 and I have an AT one of those. But if you would like to make it a package deal, I'd gladly take both of the aero cars off of your hands one of these days if you ever decide to sell.
