Are there any differences between 1968, 1969 and 1970 sail panel "Charger" emblems?

Or a 68 grille emblem??

The grille emblems are quite a bit smaller though. It would be pretty hard to confuse the two size-wise.

Drill another hole.

:METAL:    :nana:  That would be the FERD fix.............. The grille Charger nameplate, has much longer studs
than the sail panel post length, well on a 68 that is, sorry not sure on a 69......... they are smaller.

Even some of the so called ''correct'' sail panel nameplates have a post patter just a little off, enough not to try
and make the hole bigger to make them fit, I sent two sets back, and they were ''Chrysler parts'' they are not
always correct...............

Psh. $30 spent on a lousy emblem. Put it toward some go fast parts or something! Use what you have!  :Twocents:

Problem with the Dodge dealers are the Chrysler repop sail panel emblems don't have the spikes/prongs anymore, they're stick ons.  :eek2:

Here's a pic of the 68 grille emblem from Y/O, its has three prongs.

I surprised they sent you the three prong....I had a lot of problems getting one except from Y/O...everyone was out of stock, I could never find one on e-bay and the three prong grille emblems sell for $40+ where the sail emblems were $30

Is that all of them?  I was under the impression Mopar had two styles of sail panel emblems one for the 66-70 cars and one for the 3rd gens.  Could it be just the 3rd gen style that are stick on?

I believe the 66-67 sail emblem had the charger script with the charger arrow attached. I know the 2nd gens have two prongs and the 3rd gen no clue, I guess stick on based on the other 70s mopars I've owned were stick on.

I tried to get new sail panel emblems and the dealer only had one side showing as being available and it was a stick on. They stated that they discontinued the ones with the prongs. Just to make sure, I went to another dealer and was told the same thing.

I think the stick on is still around because it is a big thing for the new Charger owners to switch out their new tailpanel charger emblem to an old school larger Charger emblem and all they need is a stick on.
