People that quit the hobby after selling their Charger.

I was thinking of a few members that don't show up anymore after selling their Charger. Names are not that important but I wonder if ownership was the only reason they had for being here. Like a fair weather sports fan once the charger is gone they move on to whatever the current ride is. I think one guy had to sell due to a divorce and I could understand why he would quit the hobby. So my question is if you didn't own a Charger would you still post\visit this site?

I sold my '69 charger early last year. I still have a mopar, an A-body, but if you feel the need to kick me outta here, go ahead.  :D
I don't plan to buy another charger till we move to Spokane. Then I'll be looking for a '68 or '70.

I'm with Kelly on this one. I don't own a Charger anymore, and due to the rising prices of them, I may never own one again, little alone any Mopar. But I still will run my third gen Charger site, and will always be here cause of the friendships I made here. You guys are like family to me too. It's hard not to feel that way after 5 years of being with a bunch of you. And I will ALWAYS love these cars reguardless.

My charger isnt even on the road and I only see once or twice a week, I only start it every month or so...Yes, I would still be checking things out here. The main reason I come here is to read some of the quirky posts on chargers and everything Mopar. Like, "68 R/T fender tag reunited with car after 35 years" or the like, just interesting stuff to me. Ive gotten to like some of the sense's of humor around here too. :2thumbs:

It would take nothing less than a tragedy to part me from my Charger. So, if that happened I would no longer visit because the Charger would hold bad memories for me.

I spend WAY more time on this page than I do with any of my "fleet".....
And I'll never be without a Charger! (Made that mistake once already, and rectified it as soon as I could!)

I was wondering where the hell you were.

I'm with Jim Shine on this one. I had to sell my 21' Checkmate boat in 92 because of the recession and 8 months of no work. I threw my boating magazines away as soon as I got them because it reminded me of something I missed badly.

I came close to parting with mine when finances got ugly, but I stuck it out. Truthfully, I have still always had at least one Mopar musclecar in the garage since 1981, can't seem to get them out of my blood- so chances are I'd still come around here anyway, unless for some tragic reason that I had to quit the hobby entirely. Then I might not be here at all.

Hard to say. I have had at least one Charger since the age of 19. I am 40 now. I guess it would depend on the circumstances. If I willingly got rid of them to pursue other interests then i would probably be busy doing that. I would still come around when I could. If I was forced to sell them, than I probably wouldn't want to come around because it would just make me think about what I had to give up.

Never owned a charger but someday I will, and I'm here anyways. So I'm guessing if I had a charger and sold it (highly unlikely) I would probably still be here.

Too good of a site to stay away from.

superduperbee

I would still be here. When things were tough before, I lived in a storage space, and slept in the car for 6 months. It would take a real tragedy for me to get rid of it now. Ray

I had a friend, infact he turned me on to the site, after he sol;d his Charger he stopped comming around or visiting the site.  I asked him why.  He said it was just to painfull.  Si I guess it is hard to say.  I think it all depends on your reason for selling.

I haven't actually seen mine in 5 or 6 years and everyone seems like good down to earth folks around here so I guess I'd have to say Yeah, I'd still come around.

Surprise!!   :nana:  I am still here! I sold my car a while back but I still lurk here. I only wish I had more time to post like I use to. Once my life settles down I will be back in force.

I currently have my house on the market and my wedding is the 4th of next month. Once my house sells and we get the new spouse's house sold we will buy our new home together. We have one or two in mind but can't do anytihng until at least mine sells.

Once we get settled in the new place I will be getting another Charger. I have been toying with the idea of the new Challenger too. My father in law to be has a 63 Fury (is that a stroke of luck or what?). I have been fooling with it a bit on the weekends. I really don't have much time wth everything thats going on.

I do want you guys to know I am still around. I do check the site daily. I have to do it at work, so I don't spend too much time in one sitting. I am here never the less.
