yeah those guys should be shaved sterilized and shot  :'(

That car is just plain unsafe.  :rotz:

It will need to be back-halved, plain & simple.

I think the only reason it would be considered unsafe is the frame is constructed from box Tubing.
We use that on off road stuff all the time. Race car chassis are made like that.
Not very good for the street as it has poor crush ability upon impact.

Nothing to see here folks, its just a Bluesmobile

Right!
And how is that box tubing attached as it moves forward toward the rear axle? How does it meet the other frame rails? Not only that, but the floors & inner 1/4's are constructed from what appears to be regular FLAT sheetmetal. No structural integrity.
I wouldn't stick my family in that death trap. No way!

Box tubing can be strong & safe as hell as long as it's designed & welded in the right ways.   But crudely patched into the rest of a factory unibody car like that is not the way to do something.

The front & rear ends of the car are supposed to be softer areas than the center.  If you make the tail end section of the car too strong in that case, then the box-tube section will be a threat in a rear end wreck.  It's liable to STAY pretty stiff and punch forwards through the rest of the rear half of the car.  (Especially since we're probably talking about a rust-compromised car in general.)

Man sell it to that guy in Cars Wanted that posted wanting a rusty Charger because he was going to back-halve it.

well it's good you were honest about it's condition, don't get me wrong, but you may want to put the 5k  :o  asking price and sell it BEFORE you make fun of it in anther post.

its a 70 charger, people are asking alot more than what i have posted for them.  :eyes:

dads_69

IMO more/better detailed photos of the car might help to decide the price you want for the car. I'm going to try and be nice here for a minute also. Is the int. complete, motor/trani' there, whats the condition of the rest of the car, front frame, grille condition floor boards? Personally, I wouldn't give more than a grand for the car, many people wouldn't. Unless they have no idea what it takes to repair the car, they'll be in for a hell of a surprise when they do!

Good luck dude either way parting it out or selling complete.

Mark

Edit: I now re-tract my offer of a grand. Car is not worth it.

The car isnt worth $5k in my opinion..I wouldnt touch it with a 10 foot pole due to that back end. It needs a WHOLE NEW backend.

There's a reason why responses aren't allowed in the Classifieds...

and this has pretty much turned in to a For Sale ad so enough of that.
