Here is another one on E-bay right now. Its in Ontario Canada, i know it was for sale in the Auto Trader last year for $200,000.

I knew about this car since last year, the guy who owns it owns a restaurant in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, nice guy, but he told me it was repainted because someone keyed the words "HEMI" on to the sides, so that's why it was re-painted....not a bad car, could use light resto, but at $200000???

welcome to the board steve.what a beautiful car.it must be nice to buy it all ready to go with just minor work to do.i have a 69 hemi 4 spd project.unfortunately i have years of resto ahead of me before i can drive it.did the original owner say why he decided to sell now?did he order it,or was it a lot car?looks pretty loaded up.any other interesting stories about it that you care to share?i love these kinds of posts.

Hello, this was a special ordered car and I have all of the original order paperwork along with the window sticker. I did ask him why he would sell something he took so much care of over the last 39 years and he said that over the last 10 years his health had gotten to the point that he could no longer enjoy it. He is single with no kids and he and his girlfriend are looking to move into a retirement community later this year. He also was not very mechanically inclined so he never really did anything to the car but at the same time did not know anyone to take it to for needed servicing since he moved to Atlanta 13 + years ago so he basically just left it sitting in his garage starting it up every few weeks and warming it up. I have tons of other info and stories about this car as we talked for several hours about it.

Hello, to answer the comment about how long before it is up for sale I will say NEVER as long as I am alive! I am actually going to sell my V code 4 speed 70 Challenger R/T so I can afford to keep this one. I consider this probably the find of a lifetime for me and plan to keep and enjoy it for years to come.

Welcome to the site Steve.   I would leave it as it is and only clean it up with polish and keep it totally factory.  Just my opinion of course but as they say, it is only original once.  Definitely take pictures of any special markings, tags, etc so the rest of us could benefit from it also.  Personally, I am a big fanatic of details on a car and I'd love to see all of the original markings on that beauty at Carlisle.

 Nice rare find.  To me a rare find has to be cheap.  A 100,000 plus dollar car is not a rare find.  Maybe 20,000 though.

From one triple black Charger owner to another, congrats on your purchase and a warm welcome to the site.  Regardless of the price you paid, I think your Hemi Charger is a rare find these days.  That fact that you purchased the car from the original owner who was wise enough to save all the original documention from the car and preserve the car over the years is good enough for me.  True one owner Hemi cars do not grow on trees.  What a great story
