You have a 440.

That number corresponds to a 1973-1978 casting I believe. According to the 440Source.com "Engine Blocks" page it's from 1973-1975. There should be another casting number that looks like a date somewhere near that one. There are also numbers stamped into the pad on the upper front of the engine block just to the right of the distributor which would help a lot.
