MB old school 17's

Dino, have you lost any of the screws that hold your center caps on?  I just checked mine out yesterday and I'm missing about 7 of them... :eek2:

Yikes!

I have not but I only drove it for about 3 months before I took the car off the road.  The screws were snug though, I remember taking them off last August.

Get yourself another set of screws and use some Loctite to keep them in place.

Aarghh!  Travis you could've saved me a lot of time!  It took me months to pick a wheel and one of those pics would've made it a cut and dried deal right then and there!

I love the wheels more and more, I'm glad I got them, they fit the big muscle cars perfectly!

I'm with you on that one, brother.  Between the MB Old Schools, the Torq Thrust D or American Racing's 200S I didn't see much of a choice.  My only regret is the 18" versions not being available in a wider size...

It's funny, I was so set on 15" rims until I asked myself why exactly.  Then I couldn't decide on 17 or 18 until I figured out that the wide version only comes in 17.  If it was available in 18 who knows, I could still be on the fence!

I'm afraid that before long these wheels will be everywhere, it's fun to have something different for a change, but I won't blame anyone for making the choice.   :2thumbs:

How's the ride quality with 17's?

On Michigan roads, nothing will ever feel quite right.

I chose a higher sidewall in the back for looks and extra cushioning but it still flexes a lot less in hard cornering than 15's so major improvement there.  And thanks to the Charger's soft suspension it feels less harsh than my Honda and is more forgiving.  On smooth roads it's perfect, really no difference than running 15's but again, more control in hard corners.  The wider fronts made the steering flaws more obvious though.

I put the YO magnums that I got for Sinnamon on Black Betty for a few weeks show last summer...   Cragars are back on now.  I think these will look better on Sinnamon with the contrasting T5 paint.    Black needs more chrome.

17's are nice but 18's fill up the wheel well perfectly.
