For those of you 3rd gen guys that have a go wing. Could you please post pics of the brackets on the underside of your decklids so I can have a visual reference. :2thumbs: thnx

FLG

I have a go wing, but i highly doubt the previous owners mounted it properly....it just dosent "look" right from the underside. They also over torqued the bolts and put a slight bend in the trunk and the bracket on the underneath. If you want, ill still post a pic when i get back home this evening.

73chgrSE

That would be cool, atleast I can see what not to do.

FLG

Sure, i have never seen good pictures or one myself (im also curious). So it might even be right and because the bolts are over torqued...it "looks" wrong.

Edit: Also, my wing has a like crackle finish rather then smooth. Most i have seen are painted a smooth flat black. Im not sure if its supposed to look like that because of the paint used, if it looks like that stock, or they just did a very bad paint job. Looking at the rest of the car, im going with the bad paint job.

FLG

Thanks evil,

Guess mine IS mounted correctly...they just over torqued everything and bent the brackets; which is why it "looked" wrong. Man i cant wait to start the restore, i can already see the thick layer of bondo on the quarters and rockers  :eyes:

I also got mine from First Place Auto - a little dearer than some, but really worth the dollars. The Best.
There's some pics of my car at :

I'll take some of the attaching points if you still need them.

I'd recommend going with the Gull Wing. It just looks a little better.

Well, I did it. Looks pretty good for the price. I'm not a purist anyway. I've always wanted a spoiler, even on my 1st charger. I think it goes good with my blacked out grill inserts.

The wife hates it though. :smilielol:

What made you go with that wing rather than the Gull Wing ? Was it just the price ?

Gotta agree the Gull Wing is much better looking. but the price is pretty steep.  I think its worth it though.
