competition engine balance & crankshaft race ready??

what does it mean to have an engine "competition engine balance" & "crankshaft race ready" mean...any power gains by having this done...........thx...

my guess is you can turn high RPMs and not have to worry about parts going thru the side of the block . and i would think there would be some power gain to it .

Engine balancing means that the rotating assembly is static and dynamicly balanced. Having this done allows the engine to run smoother, idle better and rev with less effort. Longevity will be improved.

A race ready crank implies all the machinework has been completed.
