Great job - I do the same thing - put things on and stay motivated. The rear window is the biggest challenge - after that you are home free.

thanks for your words of encouragement. when i started to build a daytona i didn't realize what a task it is to build a correct one . it's by far the hardest build i've ever had and yes it feels like i just finish painting a charger 

my nose is done the headlights work with vacuum , like the originals. in the pics the doors are a little open thats cause the vacuum is not hooked up. one vacuum line opens the lights and the other keeps them closed . all the moving parts are made of steel and are powder coated black. even the z brackets. i'm hoping cuppy is gonna do the fenders and mount my nose. he built it and did a hell of a job . even if he just mounts everything and i'll do the finish work at my back yard bodyshop. thats where i'm gonna paint the car anyway . check out the pics. the nose is a work of art . Looks like a third grader put that nose together !!!!!!!Rene , hanging the nose is easy , the mess begins with cutting and glassing the Stinger nose to match fender Countour , trust me it your into making it right and don't like cutting corners , the nose will take many hours !!!!

like i said to you  Larry . i think you did it the hard way . i've showed  the nose and your posts to several of my friends that are body men  . they came up with several ideas . using fiberglass . not all fenders are a like , i'm hoping that my nose matches better then yours did .

GOOD! then it shouldn't cost me much to have you do it.

is your front clip on ?? If so get two friends and hold nose up to fenders , if you can live with the nose 1/2 in off on both sides your golden . Also headlight doors are warped , depends on if your willing to spend the money to make it right or do a hack job . For me , I will do what ever it takes to make it right , next time I will order a Janek nose , headlight doors , Valence and fender scoop , I learned the hard way . Good luck Cupcake

i can guaranty you one thing , no matter who mounts my nose even if i do it myself in my back yard .it will not be 1/2 off on both sides of it  . thats not how i roll , you should know that by now about me . i get it done and done right. i take no short cuts with my cars .
there are more ways to skin a nose .

If you can hold it up and view side of car by yourself , your a bad dude !! I made a Cradle so all you need is a floor jack I don't know it all , but when it comes to making a Stinger nose fit perfect , been their done that !!!

we test fitted them. just tacked them in but we had a problem with the left one . it was a little off. so we applied heat  to bend it and clamped it to the correct one . this should correct the problem and hopefully they'll be in by the end of next week . Rene

Rene, are those real daytona hinges? 
I ended up with a set of Larry's hinges for my clone.
Howie and I have done so much trading back and forth that I can't even remember how I ended up with them. I have to put everyone's names on their parts just to keep them straight.
I think I have various parts for at least four different Daytona clones.

I've been ordering the materials I'll need to finish the daytona and paint the engine bay , interior  and trunk on the challenger. i have a budget every month for my cars . like that i can stretch out the material costs .check it out. Rene

Sounds like a plan my friend. 
I spent most of the day installing my exhaust for my paint booth. Was on top of the shop enjoying the 70 degree day. Wanted to take my cuda out for a spin but just didn't have time. Sandra worked on the fenders for the Z28. I think she's as anxious to get that car back on the road as I am. She's like me. She's halfway afraid to get out on the road in her Cuda. Way too much traffic around here nowadays. We won't be as worried driving the Cammer. They're dispensible.
She's still bugging me to put that 5.7 hemi setup in a mopar for her. I thought about sticking it in that rust free 74 Charger and painting it limelight. Se wants another green car to drive and I refuse to paint the Z28 green. It's going Hugger Orange.

after  i build my dream garage i will paint  the daytona .white with a red tail stripe , magnums with red line tires. for now flat black  with draglite wheels. a fun vehicle. just to drive and have fun with and  not worry about scratching the paint .

  i like those   70's body style  camaro . with the spoiler in front and on the decklid . cool cars Rene

Howdy

  looks like my daytona's coming home at the end of next week . the package tray rear support is in and we where installing the rear window today. i really like the way that vega window sits in there. it has a nice contour to it that matches the lines of the back of the daytona .  all the new  window moulding clips are installed and ready to go . here is a pic of the rear window in before gluing. i don't know if you can see what i mean about the contour. i thought the rear window was flat. I'm getting my wing back but the front is still a 69 charger    .

the backyard bodyshop  is open and operating . i just finished doing my dually. after 15 yrs  in the city  ,it had rust and dents all over it. fix them all and painted the panels that needed it. came out great. next is the roadrunner . take care of some of the small stuff on it . it has way to much rust repair to tackle this year.

  then it's daytona time. mount the  front fenders and nose . I'm sending the fenders and hood  out tomorrow to get sand blasted  . hopefully I'll have it in black primer by the summer. it's to hot out there to work in the summer sun. Rene
