It appears that the upgrade forces a login and many, many of you have forgotten your passwords and didn't set up any reminders. Contact me directly through helpmelogin@dodgecharger.com and I'll help sort it out.

I went to start up firefox and it tells me that firefox is already running, but not responding and that I have to end that process or restart the machine.  I restarted and still same message.  I even removed firefox from my computer and re downloaded it.  still says it's running the first time I go to open it after downloading it.  I don't see how this is possible since I removed the program totally.  I removed it by going into control panel and using the add/remove programs menu, so I think I did it right.

I love my firefox and it stinks not being able to use it.  I am on aol now and I don't like it.

Did you restart after you removed it? What operating system are you running? Try Ctrl-Alt-Delete and look in the task list for "firefox.exe". If it's there then right click it and choose "End Process". I've been having trouble recently with PDF files that hang the browser. This is more likely a problem with Acrobat Reader though.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I restarted the machine several times and firefox does not appear in the task manager.  It said to end the process and when I go to that list, it's huge and I cannot tell which process is for mozilla. nothing says mozilla in there.  I will try again...

Firefox.exe is what will show up in your processes list.

anyone have any idea why this is happening?  not having firefox is killing me.  internet explorer is about as fast as 2 tin cans and a string.

Chances are your profile is messed up. It will be under your Application Data in your User profile. The folder name will depend on your operating system. Back up your bookmarks, then erase that and reload Firefox. You will have to reset your preferences as well, but I think it will fix your problem.

It depends on your operating system. Here this synopsis I found from Firefox support- they describe it much better than I can:

http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles

Before deleting anything in the profile, export your bookmarks to a file so you don't lose them. (Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks>File>Export) then reload them after you creat a new profile. They give you options for saving some of the files as well in the support instructions- look them over before you do anything. It should fix your problem, though. Feel free to PM me if you have any further trouble.
