This week, we went out and got this. It's an '06 Model and I saved a ton over buying new. It only has 28,300 miles on it. It's not a daily driver so I'm not concerned about the milage part. Diesel power, 6 spd manuls trans. A Sheitload of room inside and all the trimmings. I figure this will handle the job and then some. I can only hope that it's as reliable as I've read about.

My brother and father-in-law both have the same exact model that they use for hauling their farming equipment & cattle with, and they're very happy with the trucks--haven't had any problems. The parents hauled their 5th-wheel trailer to Alaska and back with no complaints. Hubby and I would love to buy one but wouldn't have much use for it other than hauling firewood--which we'd rather use our beater Ford for that.

I'm finishing a 69/ 71 New Yorker to pull may Charger to out of state events. Painting them the same color and everything. Sadly my Land Barge will be done first.

My wife told me that there was no way she was travelling to Pennsylvania from Missouri in "that noisy thing", meaning my 2001 CTD with a power box and straight (no muffler) exhaust.  So, I went truck shopping early last year, and got this:

If you get a new truck, that's a license to get a new trailer, right?  That's my story and I'm sticking to it...   :P  Here's the 28' (box length, plus gooseneck) Featherlite that I picked up a little while back:

I pull a 24' enclosed trailer with the '05 2500 diesel in my sig or occasionally use my dad's '06 3500 diesel. His is a 6 speed too. We have a 2 car open hauler also but that has a couple cars stranded on it for the winter.  ;)

I don't have pics of anything and the snow is way too deep to even hope to get them out at this point.  :-\

Now that is the truck I originally set out to get. I ended up with the Dually because of the great deal they gave me. Too hard to pass on. Your trailer is also what I will be searching for in the near future. Very nice Rigs being posted. Let's see more please.... :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

The wagon will be my tow vehicle, eventually.  Figure it'd look pretty cool pulling into a show with my Barracuda on a trailer behind it.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

69_500

Ah why tow it when you can drive it to every show you go to?  :nana:

Okay so if I had a trailer and a truck I'd definately tow mine too. For now, just :drive:

chargerkid01

here is my puller it may only be a half ton but she is mean..

Alain426

here is mine, i wish i could afford a full size dodge ram, but its impossible, so i keep the jeep, not the best for towing heavy load, but the best for my budget :icon_smile_wink:

and it can haul with style

and now i need to buy a closed 20feet trailer, if some one got one for sale  let me know

I am surprised Hemigeno has not posted up his tow rig with the hemi charger loaded on it.  That is one sweet truck, at monster mopar the truck gets as much attention as the Charger :drool5: That will change when he sits the newly restored Daytona up there :2thumbs:

:scratchchin: That never occurred to me. I can do that, my 71 NYer is almost done - but unless I want the Charger painted Bronze, they won't match.....
You got me thinking about getting the trailer fixed, now.. I was going to scrap it.

I don't consider a car to be a trailer queen just because one is not wanting to drive a classic/collectable car across the country, hundreds if not thousands of miles from home to events around the country. It's nice to travel in comfort and keep your toy safe from whatever hazard you might come across during the trip. Not to mention having to park over night and not being able to sleep because your worrying about someone trying to steal your car or vandalize it. I drive to all shows within my state but I'm not going across country in the car. I want to trailer it and drive it when I get there. The point of the post is to see how others are doing the same thing

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I've seen plenty of that Yellow Cuda in my rear view Mirror on the way home from that same show.  :nana:

Although if he had wanted to, he could have easily passed me and left me still cruising at 67 mph. :slap:
