This is pushing my memory a few years. Was the website something like surprise garage? Sound familiar? I can't find it either.

I don't know of anybody making maple grips.

Gunslinger makes some out of some funky madagascar ebony.   http://gunslinger727.com/shiftergrips.html
IMHO it's best to see these at a show where Jason is at and pick through them yourself.   He also has various plastic styles.

Harmsauto used to make a wood grip but it's not available anymore.  http://www.harmsauto.com/
I'm not sure if those were made thru Domingo or not.

I remember that too, they were all hand made and really nice. Looks like they're out of business.
Here's one they made...

Sorry guys, but after checking things out, I do believe it was Scott Harm that had a bunch of custom grips.  I think that you could even get them in custom colors.  The other sites listed here are about the only other ones that I found are making any.

Found this thread at moparts as to why he stopped carrying them.

looks like I need to talk to some of my guitar making buddies with CNC machines. Seriousley though, would there be interest if I could get these things made and color them per customers request? I could probably get a good deal if I had about 50-75 of them made in a natural finish and then stained and cleared them the color of the cust. choice.

I like those in last post because they are very similar to my steering wheel Finnish.

Charger1973

I would possibly be interested as well.

plumbeeper

We can restore your original plastic ones to match your steering wheel. We can even repair them if they're broken or cracked. Here's a set we finished for a customer last summer. He wanted the steering wheel and pistol grips to have the same color. Didn't like the factory mismatched look.
