71 Bee Man

G'day guys,

I'm here in Australia and I have to get some new lower control arm bushes for my 71 Charger - also strut bushes. My question is :

what other models would have the same bushes ?

Here in OZ they haven't got a clue what a 71 Dodge Charger bush is like, but they do stock ones for things like 1960's Dodge Phoenixs, which i think are the same as mid 60's Plymouth Fury's - just rebadged.

Any help is appreciated - shipping costs to post me control arm bushes are ridiculous from over there.

Thanks,

Peter :2thumbs:

Aren't all '66-'72 B-bodies and '70-'74 E-bodies the same as far as front suspension?

71charger_fan

Can't they cross-reference a part number? Your lower control arm bushings are Moog K791 or Spicer 5651008
Strut rod bushings are Moog K7016A or K7026

Thanks for the input guys,

here's the thing.

I'm over here hunting around for control arm and strut bushes for my 71 charger, when all the time they might be the same as your everyday valiants which were sold here. From what i gather, it looks like control arm bushes (upper and lower) are the same for B bodies as they are for A bodies.
Strut bushes on the other hand...well, to give you an example, out here strut bushes were of the one piece design until about 1976 when they incorporated a 2 piece design. My 71 charger is 2 piece, but not the same as thoise out here.

So...I'm trying to figure out if I can buy the uppers and lowers at the local store, and simply get the strut bushes off the net.
