I recently bought a new heater valve for my Plymouth to replace the below rusted one.  I had trouble removing the hoses from the water pump area and the heater core nozzles at the firewall.  As a result of this trouble I lost track of where these hoses attach and I need help in figuring this out.  On the below picture the two nozzles on the right go to the two heater core firewall nozzles, but which goes to the left or right nozzle? (facing the firewall from front of car).  The nozzles on the left go to the water pump but which is the 5/8 hose connector and which is the 1/2 inch hose connector?  HELP!

I don't have a certain answer to this. They are not coded. I think is really undifferent which one you plugs where since is just to get the hot water throught the core, however I still have the original hoses mounted with shape given throught the years. Just have removed the firewall ends but keeped untouched the ones on valve, so since the hoses have more less the shape taken throught the years I can tell you how exactly was mounted tomorrow. I did take care about that when I removed from firewall

searching on my PC found a pic what will help.

Upper goes apparently to right and lower to left ( front view of firewall )

as stated I fit the hoses as far I remember with the hoses shape given with years mounted and untouched gave me the chance. I don't think is an important fact really, just will change the water running from top to bottom or bottom to top, but here is what I have

Thanks for the pic Nacho!  I had my firewall hoses reversed and needed to know this before I start the car again.  I do not think that it would have hurt anything, but I take no chances with my prized car.  I cannot determine hose shape from years of use because I had to replace all the dry-rotted hoses along with the rusty valve. That is why I lost track!
