Hey guys,
This is interesting reading, it sounds like Dodge had to help some of their old duffer salesmen with some terminolgy to help close the generation gap with their customers in 1970.

There are four pages;

I don't get it. I have visited this site before and have found it's content to be very interesting and informative. What do you mean when you say "old duffer salesmen terminology generation gap". Is this a putdown of some kind? Please elaborate.

Apparently, the sales staff at a lot of the dealerships weren't of the generation that marketing was trying to aim at. Dodge sales prior to the '68/'69 model years primarily sold non-high performance cars........ This was getting the older sales staff "up to speed" with the younger buying crowd...

Hmm...I think he means the literature was meant for car salesmen that might have been older than the clients he is selling to....you know to be more "hip" & cool-daddy-o :shruggy:

They also had guides on racing terminology to make the sales guys more "in tune" with their customers
