I'm getting ready to buy a Autometer Speedo for my '68. What will I have to do to use this with my 727. It will be an electric gauge. (I think not using a factory speedo cable) Any help would be great. Or will a manual or cable driven gauge be easier swap?

you will need a electronic sender , possibly one from a late 80s truck will stil fit the older 727 tranny

I was talking to a guy that has a tranny shop here in town says you can use the speed sensor from a A518 or A500, said the Chevy sensor wouldn't work??? Any input?
