Well, as some of you know, I've been on the look out for my former '70 Charger R/T six pack car for years.......... As fate would have it, I found it and talked to the current owner last night.. We're supposedly going to talk some more next week.. Now, I'm not sure I'll be able or in a position to get her back, depending on the price... (Yeap, it'll be for sale soon). Since I found another white '70 six pack Charger R/T pretty much like my old one, I'm not going to dive too deep.. We'll see.........

Ah now Troy. Now why would you want that 70 back? Wouldn't that put a STOP to all the Daytona hunting you do?

Beautiful car though. I must admit. Even though as we all know I prefer the 69's, and okay i'm partial to a small portion of those too. But your 70 was a great looking car.

Ahhhh,, give up my Daytona search?!  Never !!!!  This will only happen if I can sell the '68, trade off Dana and cash for the Daytona and with the money (if I have any) left over, try and work out a deal on my old car... But since I already have a '70 v-code in slightly better overall body shape, I'll not push too hard......

Thanks for setting me straight. I was hoping I was getting to jump one spot up on the list of people who are constantly on the search for a Daytona. Man I wish you would hurry up and find one, so that I can at least hope of finding one myself one of these days.

Oh, I've found one... Now it's a matter of things falling into place as I need them........

The '70 is a good starter car for the step up to the '68 model. :D I did the same (started with a '70 and ended up with a '68) but Troy's cars are much more desirable than mine.

Hey buddy, Nice to see the old boy again, Great memories with that car, like when you kept it at my place while the motor got rebuilt. It was a real beast when it was done. Remember coming back from one of our nights at Moroso and I got smoked by a new Corvette in my '79 Z-28 pig and you ran the guy down and whipped his A$$. He was so pissed when you told him what you had piad for the car to begin with that he wanted to get rid of the Vette for getting creamed by an "OLD" car  :smilielol:. So many other stories to bring a smile to my face. I wish I could get it back for ya Bro...  :2thumbs:

Once you get that badboy back, you can send me all the Burnt Orange interior you absconded from me for your other Charger.  :P

ps- I always wanted to use the word absconded. It's so underrated.  :icon_smile_big:

Don't wanna count my chickens yet..... I still gotta hear back from him and hopefully his broker won't get involved.. Hopefully it'll be just between the owner and I......

very beautifull car i say... im surprised on how the cars turned out that my dad got rid of..

70 Charger RT

I found the 70 RT (U code) my brother owned new (same car I did my drivers test on).  It needs a total restoration however.  If I were you, I would try to get the 70 RT V code also.

I remember seeing that '70 V-code at a classic car dealer place off of Harry Hines in Dallas, around say 7-8 years ago?? Were you looking for it back then too?

Yeap, that's it.. That's the place in which I talked to the director... The place was were the car was kept... The director refused to pass on my information to the owner... Sort of chapped my hide, but hey, that's the way it goes......

Of course.. I've been in your shoes as well and if you didn't, then there would be a problem.. I kept on the shoes of the original owner of my former '71 Charger R/T survivor and I DID eventually get it.. And,,, he called me to come and pick it up.. Now, that was an easy one...

That was/is definitely a nice car Troy - BUT - it's no Dana, and it's definitely no Daytona... I'd keep your head pointed in the same direction and things will fall into place (just might take a little while)...
