My mom gave me a bunch of my dad's old belt buckles to keep or sell for her and this one came with them. In case the picture doesn't tell the story it's a Limited Edition 40th Anniversary belt buckle commemorating Ellis, Kansas, aka the boyhood home of W.P. Chrysler my dad bought or got in 1994. What I don't quite get (aside from why anyone would make one of these) is that it's the 40th Anniversity of what? It doesn't say anything about him being born there so it can't be that. I just don't know what 40th Anniversary they are celebrating? At any rate it seems like a helluva stretch for the little town of Ellis to make a claim to fame over.

It's in really good shape because I don't think my dad ever wore it. Not sure why he kept it? :shruggy:

I see no pictures,but Id like to see them.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

that pink car is dean stallbaughmers car out fo centralia kansas  He does great reatorations ( has done several wing cars)

It was the 40th year of the house being a museum.

On a somewhat related tangent, here in Chatham, Ontario, Canada there is a plaque denoting the site of the first permanent residence built in what became this city.  It was built (and lived in) by Walter P. Chrysler's grandfather.

"Walter Percy Chrysler was born on April 2, 1875, in Wamego, Kansas. When he was 3, Walter's family moved to Ellis, Kansas where his father worked as an engineer with the Kansas Pacific Railroad. Walter went through school in Ellis and became a machinist's apprentice for the then renamed Union Pacific Railroad. At the age of 22, he completed his apprenticeship and left Ellis. Walter returned to Ellis to marry his childhood sweetheart, Della Forker, and they moved to Salt Lake City. Walter P. Chrysler went on to lead one of the largest corporations in the world.

102 W. 10th Street was the last of three homes where Walter grew up. The home is furnished, but due to a flood in the 1950s, with the exception of a single bed, none of the furnishings are original to the home. A small museum has been built behind the home.

The Walter P. Chrysler Boyhood Home and Museum features mainly pictures and text about Walter's life. There are a small gift area, a few artifacts, and a short video. The home and museum can easily be visited in a half hour." Here's the best part - "There is little to hold the attention of children."   :lol:

I've been to the musuem before (it was nice), but that was along time ago when I was first going to FHSU.  I went with some friends on Saturday trip to Ellis to burn some time (had my studies done and nothing better to do) and we decided to go there.  Jerry J. still had his Wheels'N'Spokes shop right off of the interstate back then.......
