Torsion bar tool

I got this torsion bar tool. But I don't see how it's going to work. I just got and won't even be trying it until this weekend. But it already looks like it won't do anything. The hole is diamond shaped and with the bolts that hold the two pieces together doesn't look like they will allow enough spread to even fit over my bars. Is there only one kind of Mopar torsion bar tool?

As far as I know there is only one, the diamond shape is correct but I can't answer as to the spread.
