Nice Car.  I always liked them!  Seeing that GTO makes me miss good ol' 70chargerboy on this site :bawling:. He was a friend to the goats, and loved 67's best. He bought a 66 Tempest and left us.  :eek2:

Tilar

Dad had one of those when I was a youngin. Very fast car.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

When I was 16 I went to pick up my date for the high school dance and her father showed me his GTO stashed in the garage.  It was in perfect condition but to be honest, I wasn't that interested in his car, more interested in getting into his daughter's pants that night!   :yesnod:

Well?   :popcrn:

Here is my Dads '67.  We brought this thing home with a trailer and two truckloads of parts.  about 10 years ago now.  Guess what he paid for it?   :brickwall:

Great lookin' car Paul.  Very cool!

No idea what he paid.

As far as me on the date - I got a handjob in the parking lot at McDonalds after we went through the drive-thru.  I figured it was better than nothing as it saved me the trouble when I got home that night!   :whistling:

My Favorite yr. Goat is the '67 cause of the wire mesh grill and the stainless on the sides,.. but i love the way the '66 has taillights that are louvers,.. the car guy up the street from me when i was 12 had a souped up gold '67 goat that had the duces which incidentally date back to the late '50s on the Bonniville, anyhow, the '66-67 GTOs remind me more of the second gen. Charger styleisticly more then any other car, i didn't care that much for the '68 up style in comparison...
funny how design wise the cars of that era mimic each other in their stlyling cause the third gen Chargers remind me of the intermediate GMs and even the fast back torinos and cyclones remind me of the first gen chargers...
Thanks for sharing the pics... I caught this daily driver on a side street recently..

one of the kids that went to my highschool was looking through his dads picture album and found a page with like 13 gtos on it and he asked his dad why he sold them and his dad told him that he didn't...they then went around to barns on their property and thats where they all set. he said they are alll complete and some don't have very many miles on them but they would never part with them... i think he got like five of them running

The '70 Goats like Strat's pic are my favorite, great looking cars. :2thumbs:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Brock:  I agree with you - the 66 & 67 were far and away the best looking.  Also agree styled somewhat the the 2nd generation Chargers.  I owned a 66 and it was a great car - not quite a Mopar, but close.

I guess I'm strange. I find those stacked headlight cars to be hideous. :eek2: The '70 GTO's are OK. JMHO. I'm mostly just into Mopars though.  :shruggy:

So I guess since we are posting pics of GTO's here is a pic of my daily cruiser, odd color and combo, 69 Expresso Brown, Ram Air, 4sp, A/C and a Bench Seat. When was the last time you saw cornering lamps on something other than a Caddy or Lincoln.....

66-67 GTOs were the best looking car GM has ever made, easily.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

AZ-Nick

Funny thing about it is when the guy bought the car new it was the second week of production and the only Judges you could get were the Carousel red colors, he oppted to order a GTO in this color with all the Judge options and added a few more to his likeing. I went back and added the Stripes because it just looks Drop Dead beautiful with them, and he should have ordered it with them but he wanted the stealth look......

Yes it is all stock except the paint and a few small items.....
