Did anyone else read this article and check out the concept drawings?

Here is a link to a thread with the entire article scanned at high res....

The Gremlin looks like it would not only fit-in but take over the sport compacts. It looks so hip!

What are the odds that this will actually happen?

I'm wondering if Chrysler made a big deal to sell the AMC name, since they bought AMC so long ago.  If so, I hope it helps Chrysler out a little.  I've never been too in to AMC's, but think it would be great to see more American cars on the road, and the Matador in NASCAR.  It will be strange to see a company with a name like American Motors having motors built 99% of Korean parts, or whatever's most current.  Best of luck to AMC.

I agree. If it was true, By now, it would be all over the news here in Wisconsin. I live only a hour and a half from Kenosha too. I was also on the job when they tore down the old AMC buildings, and put in a marina and breaker wall. I think the only orginal AMC building left are the engine plant buildings which Chrysler uses. The drawings look cool tho. :yesnod:

If you red the actual article in Hot Rod magazine,in the end of it they say APRIL FOOLS and that they made it up! :yesnod:

That's why Daytona' said APRIL FOOLS!

I got excited myself, the article and all the concept drawings were way cool. But then I got to the end and read that it was a joke and all the air deflated out of my balloon.... :'(
