To be honest Khyron thats kinda what I've been thinking also, I did that with my 69 (440 6pk) and loved it. Thats kinda why I'm saying "half heartedly"

It was the 6 speed that has the reliability issues, when you put brutal torque in front of it, from what i understand and heard. I think that was much of the reason he tryed to talk me out of the idea. Did´nt work
To hold up, the T 56 needs to be upgraded, at least with my engine. (588 EFI hemi)
A fresh 440 will not tear up the 5 speed i think. What pissed me off, was the conversation i had with the salesman that sounded like he was in a desperate need of a b***job, and the stories i have seen here about tech service, and wrong parts in the kit.

And yes........... i will need to massage the tunnel to make room for the T-56, and custom make the rear bracket

Saw the show on TV today, there they buildt the sick fish. It is a cool car! Think the 22 inch rear wheels is over the top though, but thats just me

BTW, what are the tire sizes are you running on your 68 MSR?

Look like 295's in the back? did you have to make any mods?

295's are correct.  Once you get into 19", the choices are limited.  Its a 27" tire and almost 12" wide. No mods were required    I worked hard to get the baclspacing correct.  For a small fee I will tell you.

I think the concern seems if you need any type of warranty or technical support.  At least from what I have seen here.

agreed...     buying the things aren't a problem...    I mean when you give them $5000 they are happy to send you the stuff...      but if you have a problem you're f***ed. They dont care - they already have your money...       

I installed one in a 71 Challenger...    the bearing retainer is weeping fluid...     call them about it and those cock-suckers told me "Well, that's your problem"          Too bad they aren't in southern CA....      then they would have a problem removing me size 16 boot from their asses

Well, I Just purchased an 18 spline unit for my 69, because i'll be having a 600 + horses 512 stroker up front and I'm not taking the risk on warrantee issues.
Yeah Rolling Thunder made me scared on that on because I've haerd that Chally story before...

Think I'm going with 18x10 rear and 17x9 front - love the look of MSRacing's 68 so that kind of inspired my size set up

As far as the front spoilers go, you can just bolt on a 69 Camaro spoiler or is there much modification necessary? are they very functional or just show?

i got mine on ebay from some chevy place for @$50-60 delivered right to the front door!!! it should bolt right up to the bottom of the front valence.
ummmmm as far as function... ummmm not sure BUT it sure does look cool!!!!!!!! hahahaha i think they are more show... but they may have a slight cool air damm function up to the motor?
