Anyone catch the show tonight?  Story about a Kansas Marine who lost his leg in Iraq.  Seems he was a Mopar nut as well.  In the opening scene, you get some glimpses of his garage.  I spotted what I think was a '68 or '69 Barracuda and what was definately a white '68 Charger.  :2thumbs:

I salute your service Marine!  :patriot:

Its one of the few shows that I put on my "Must See" list.

Yes Bronze, there was another car in the garage, but I couldn't make out what it was and thought it might have been another shot of the Barracuda?  I wasn't sure.

Too bad we didn't get to see more of them.

one of my favourite shows , they do such awesome work  :2thumbs:

TruckDriver

Last year, they did that house 15 miles from me in a small town. From what I have heard, the lady had to sell the house cause she couldn't afford to pay the taxes on the house. I've seen the house a few times, and it is so big, it looks way out of place in the town of about 900.

Damn that sucks.  At least in this show they paid off his mortgage.  That should make paying the taxes a lot easier.

I think what they are doing is a good thing but they do distory their lives by leaving them with this big ass tax issue after the crew leaves.  How on earth is that poor guy going to pay property tax and the "game show" tax on winnings he is going to get hit with.  They often setup a trust to pay for the mortgage but you still have tax issues every year on your property and the tax it he is going to take when he sells the thing.

I wasn't aware there was a 'game show tax' on these homes, that would be a bummer. I guess he could always sell the place & maybe come out ahead in the end, but that would be a bummer too.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

RD

he came out to my friends house a couple of months ago to pick up a 67 barracuda shell, my friend thought it was the guy on the show, but didnt want to ask out of being courteous.

stuart, get him in on the kansas cruise!!! :D

They mentioned on the show about how much space they had to rent to store his cars and parts during the time they were building the house. I assume he still has the cars.
